Khona In The Past...
Born beneath the blazing sun in Mehwahhetsoan, Khona was the first of her generation to show signs of the Flame—but unlike the usual flickers or streaks, her hair ignited at only five years old, glowing bright as fire under moonlight. The elders called it an omen: “Azeyma has returned to walk among us.”
But Khona never felt like a vessel of divinity—just a girl with a flame she couldn’t control…
When she grew a bit older, her hair would shift color with every intense emotion. When she laughed, orange would flicker through her bangs like sunbeams. When she cried, the orange would turn dull, becoming more muted. In the middle of a sandstorm argument with her cousin, her entire hair flared up—and burned the grass beneath her.
Out of fear—or reverence—some in the tribe began calling her: “The Sun’s Cry.”Rather than let that title cage her, Khona left Mehwahhetsoan under the pretense of “seeking knowledge in Sharlayan”—but truthfully, she sought freedom.

Khona In The Present...
Khona wanders Eorzea as a huntress and relic-seeker, chasing lost shards of magic, rare tomes, and traces of the Bengal's distant history. She still wears the hibiscus pendant her Mother gave to her and the blue facial mark beneath her right eye like her Mother. Her hair stays black most days—her control strong—but when emotion strikes, those unmistakable ember-bright streaks return. She doesn’t always hide them anymore. Sometimes, she lets them blaze and doesn't care.
